See How They Run and Don’t Worry Darling

 It's the 100th performance of Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap" in a London theater in the 1950s when a real backstage killing makes everybody in the cast a suspect. That's the premise behind the genre parody "See How They Run." In this podcast episode, HCC film professors Marie Westhaver and Mike Giuliano have fun talking about a murder mystery that is very much in the spirit of Christie. Leading that investigation are police detectives enjoyably played by Sam Rockwell and Saoirse Ronan. Marie and Mike also discuss "Don't Worry Darling," a dystopian tale in which director Olivia Wilde presents us with a too-perfect small town in the 1950s. The cast includes Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Wilde and Chris Pine. Although Marie and Mike had a mixed response to this film, the production design and Pugh's performance make it worth watching. #films #HCC #SeeHowTheyRun #Dontworrydarling
