Scot Bertram, President Joe Biden will hold a rally in Detroit on Friday

Here are 3 big things you need to know—

 

One — Several House Democrats have told House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries that President Biden needs to bow out of the 2024 race.  During a Sunday call, at least four senior House Democrats said privately Biden should drop out, joining another five House members who had called on Biden to withdraw.

Two ----  Heavy rains and winds are lashing the Texas coast as Hurricane Beryl makes landfall.  The Category 1 storm has maximum sustained winds of 80 miles per hour and is approaching along the middle Texas coast.   The storm brings the risk of flooding and possible tornadoes

And number three — President Joe Biden will hold a rally in Detroit on Friday.  It will be his fourth visit to the state this year.  Michigan is seen as vital for winning the White House and former President Donald Trump won the state in 2016 over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
