Due to the Christmas Holiday, this is a re-air from December 9th. Thank you.
It’s Monday with Mary FioRito, for she is back with us after being away for a lot of things going on. Today, halfway through the Advent Season as she points out, she is celebrating the Immaculate Conception and to help her out in explaining its importance and significance is Father Michael McGovern, a pastor from St. Raphael the Archangel Church in Mill Creek, IL. Father Michael McGovern helps explain the Immaculate Conceptions history and how through the years, centuries even, that the day has moved around a lot, due to the holidays and specific days falling at different times. He points out that no matter where it falls, it will always be a Holy Day for celebration, which Father McGovern has many special masses in order to celebrate it and the Virgin Mary. They also discuss the Christmas Season and the Advent Season as well discussing their beginnings, during, and afterwards, in terms of how it is conducted these days and to have a happy one this year.
