Mid-Session 14 August 19: ASX 200 gives up Wall St inspired gains to be flat at lunch

The Australian sharemarket rose in opening trade following a sharp rise in the US markets overnight. This comes after US President Donald Trump announced delays in imposing new tariffs on Chinese goods, although by lunch the market was flat following softer economic news from China.
