Tonights episode celebrates the 100th birthday of Des Moines blues legend Jimmy "Midnite Cowboy" Pryor. Jimmy pryor was born offically on Feb 5th 1917 (Jimmy and his family believed he was born in 1916. However his birth certificate, and moter registration showed 1917) This show was originally recorded on open reel tape by Jimmy Pryor back in 1967 at the Pines Supper Club north of Des Moines Iowa. On this recording are Jimmy Pryor on guitar and Vocal, Walter Akiss on Saxophone, Carl Burse on bass guitar, and Robert Cox on drums. The orginal tape was remastered to digital by Lee Bell, of Wolfer Sound in Des Moines in 2000.
