Finding a podcast you both enjoy can be a great way to connect with your teen and have some fun, non-threatening things to talk about.

If you spend a lot of time in the car with your teen and you don't know what to talk about or you are sick of one-sided conversations and one-word answers, try listening to a podcast together. You could also turn on one of these podcasts on your Spring Break road trip. Even if you just listen on your own and talk about them later, finding a podcast you both love could be a great conversation starter.

The more you talk to your teen about stuff that doesn't matter, the easier it will be to have conversations about the stuff that does.
