Market Close 4 May 22: ASX 200 slides for 3rd day

The Australian sharemarket eased by 0.16%, slipping for a third day in cautious trade ahead of an expected rate hike in the US tomorrow morning. ANZ handed down its half year results, mining stocks fell and a number of retailers updated investors at a conference.
