Scot Bertram, Maryland Governor Wes Moore Will Visit Capitol Hill to Discuss Funding for Reconstructing the Francis Scott Key Bridge

Here are 3 big things you need to know—

 

One —  Today's solar eclipse will briefly block out the sun, but it's expected to shine some light into the economy.  As millions prepare to witness the rare celestial event, experts are forecasting upwards of a one-point-five-billion-dollar boost to businesses within the eclipse's corridor.

 

Two— Michigan's average gas price is down eight-cents a gallon in the past week.  Triple-A Michigan says the average is now three-dollars-54-cents, which is up nine-cents in the past month and seven-cents lower than last year.  The most expensive gas is in Jackson at three-64, and the most affordable is in Traverse City at three-44. 

And number three — Maryland Governor Wes Moore will visit Capitol Hill this week to discuss funding for reconstructing the Francis Scott Key Bridge.  In an appearance on CBS' Face the Nation, Moore said he doesn't know just yet what the cost will be to rebuild the bridge and reopen the Port of Baltimore.  The bridge collapsed after it was hit by a cargo ship late last month.
