Market Close 2 May 22: Challenging start to May for the Aussie market

The Australian sharemarket fell by 1.2%, with all 11 sectors pulling back following the largest daily decline in close to two years in the United States. Travel stocks were mostly higher, with Qantas lifting by almost 3% after flagging a potential return to profitability next year.
