Mid-Session 7 Oct 19: ASX 200 advances in subdued holiday trade

Local shares followed Wall St higher on Monday, with volumes subdued by public holidays in a number of states. Utilities were the only sector to retreat over the early part of the session, Whilst Technology names led the gains.
