Genesis Amaris Kemp: When Boldness Changes the Tide

 

Genesis Amaris Kemp's story is like many African-Americans who work in corporate America, and as a release, she wrote about her experiences. Eventually, they became the foundation for her book, Chocolate Drop in Corporate America. At the same time, the Black Lives Matter movement exploded. To counteract racism within their walls, her then-employer held a meeting. When they asked Genesis about her experiences, she remembered the boldness God had given her to speak. Her boldness revamped her position within the company, which was a stepping stone to greater.
