Game 71 - Reds 11, Tigers 1 (Strong pitching and a Stephenson grand slam powers the Reds!)

Austin Layton joined Cory Phillips to break down the Cincinnati Reds defeating the Detroit Tigers 11-1 at Comerica Park. Tyler Stephenson hit a grand slam in a six-run fifth inning, while Elly De La Cruz, Spencer Steer, and Matt McLain also homered. Brady Singer pitched six strong innings, allowing one run on four hits to earn the win, improving to 7-4. The Reds, now 36-35, snapped a two-game skid, while the Tigers, still leading the AL at 46-25, struggled with Jack Flaherty giving up seven runs in 4 2/3 innings. De La Cruz also made a standout defensive play, throwing out a runner at the plate.
