Last week saw the removal of Ali Zeidan as Libya's prime minister following a no confidence vote. In his 18 months as leader, the country has seen little progress made on implementing a new constitution, and an uptick in militancy. Geoffrey Howard is Control Risks lead analyst for Libya. Geoffrey has a broad range of experience working in Libya and North Africa with previous roles with a leading Arab trade representative body as well as a senior instructor where he was managing training programmes and economic development consultancy projects for leading Libyan financial institutions in Tripoli.

Geoffrey has a BA in Arabic from the University of Exeter and a distinction for his MSc degree in State, Society and Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies.
