THE PAST

Moses: The burning bush (Exo. 3)

“radiant” (Exo. 34:29-35)

Death (Deut. 34:5-7)

His body (Jude 1:9)

Elijah: On Mt Sinai (1 Kings 19:1-8)

            Chariot to heaven (2 Kings 2:11-12)

 

THE PRESENT (New Testament times)

The voice of God at Jesus’ baptism (Matthew 3)

transfiguration = transformation

- 2 Corinthians 3:12-18 – “with unveiled faces are being ”

- Romans 12:1-2 – “be transformed”

 

THE FUTURE

- Peter was the leader of the church and wrote two NT letters

- James led the church in Jerusalem, was martyred by Herod (Acts 12:1-2)

- John wrote a Gospel, 3 NT letters, and The Revelation

- Moses & Elijah in Revelation? (Revelation 11:3-6)

 

THE MEANING

- Who do YOU say that Jesus is?

 

- He’s more than a Law Giver

 

- He’s more than a Miracle Worker

 

- He is “The Christ”, the Messiah, God’s Son
