US Mid-Session 14 Feb 17: Value of the US S&P 500 above US$20Trillion for the first time

US sharemarkets continued to rally on Monday. Positive earnings results are supporting prices together with the hope that US President Trump will announce tax cuts in the next 2-3 weeks. With an hour of trade to go, the Dow Jones index was up by 157 points or 0.8%. The S&P 500 index was up by 0.6% while the Nasdaq was higher by 33 points or 0.6%.
