And even the word ADDICTION has a different look/feel with her and my experience
And yet her 30 years of experience and way more vast than my own and you will want to tune in
Her story is more than 30 years long and is filled with languishing in control needs, trauma, chemical substance abuse, dependence, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, abandonment issues, anxiety, and so much more! Her addictions were far more involved than the narrow perspective society holds; it wasn't simply chemical in nature. She experienced process and behavioral addictions as well. (To explain these looked like shopping, sugar, people pleasing codependency, dieting, exercise, and an overbooked calendar). And her recovery journey isn't represented by my sobriety date! That journey has unfolded over the last 26 years and in a truly unique fashion.
