Scripture passage: Judges 7:1-8

The account of Gideon fighting the Midianites gives us a basis for learning that's purpose is for us to grow deeply in our faith. God can effect whatever outcome He desires how and when He desires so the end result is not of the most importance to Him. He desires that whatever the situation, we grow deeper in our faith and trust of Him.
