In this episode of Insightful Player®, Chrissy Carew interviews Retired NFL Wide Receiver, Philanthropist, and High School Football Coach, Rashied Davis, as he shares his journey from the NFL to his life after sports.

Rashied had to hit the floor to dodge bullets in his South Central L.A. home. His father was murdered by gang members at a McDonald’s when he was eight; he grew up around drugs, violence, and poverty. 

One of Rashied's Guiding Principles: 
Learn how to play every bad hand well, regardless of your situation. 

Rashied is the founder of Saturday Place, a two-year academic enhancement program for 3rd and 4th grade Chicago public school students who are performing at least a year behind grade level. Their mission is to enable their students—most of whom come from disadvantaged backgrounds—to reach their full academic and personal potential.
