Somatic Fanatic with Dan Sykes

Dan Sykes is an entrepreneur, filmmaker, bodyworker, and founder of the Somatic Training Network, a company dedicated to learning and sharing somatic arts and practices from around the world.

Sykes has studied somatics with Master Instructors in the USA, Canada, Russia, Latvia, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech Republic, and Japan, and earned the titles of Systema Bodywork Instructor and Martial Arts Instructor under Grand Master Mikhail Ryabko and Master Instructor Vladimir Vasiliev, respectively.

In his new book "Somatic Fanatic" Dan chronicles his 10-year journey of self-transformation in pursuit of better living through a better-functioning nervous system. His journey shows that a freer and richer life is possible for anyone-and that somatic training has the potential to revolutionize Western conceptions of health and wellness. 

Today he talks to us about what the somatic arts actually is, how it can help us in our every day lives, and how he spent his life devoted to bringing this practice to everyday people.
