Amber Kennedy is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with over 13 years experience. In her clinical work, Amber specializes in mood disorders, military culture and adjustments, trauma, affair recovery, relationship distress. She is certified in multiple types of therapies used help people overcome irrational, dysfunctional, and unhealthy thought process that tend to add to and prolong emotional strain.

 

Amber Kennedy is trained in EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, ART, Accelerated Resolution Therapy and RTM, Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories. This soecific modality is 98% effective in resolving Trauma and the emotional distress that is related to the specific trauma in 3 sessions. 

 

Amber is the the owner of Spring Lake Counseling, Inc., based at two locations, Spring Lake NC and Fayetteville NC,  a full service outpatient mental health clinic, employing 25 Licensed Clinicians and serving 1000 clients a month and growing. 98% of their clientele are military service members and their families.  

 

Amber holds a Masters in Science from Webster University in Community Counseling. She is a mom of 2 boys and a spouse of an active duty soldier.  

 

She also provides supervision for students entering into their Licensed Clinical Mental Health licensure.
