When I have had multiple conversations about the same topic, I know it's time to talk about it here. With third quarter grades posted, many friends have confided in me the stress going on behind closed doors regarding grades. We want the best for our children and those fights about grades are coming from a place of love, right? I don't think so. I believe those fights, tears, bribes and whatever else is going on in your house is really coming from a place of fear. We get afraid for our kids that they won't succeed. We get afraid that they won't get into a good college. Fear not! Padre Pio tells us to pray, hope, don't worry. The Bible has 365 verses on not being afraid or to not be anxious. I think that's God's way of saying, "Hey, Mama, don't worry." Getting our kids through school with a 4.0 is not our job. We have one job as parents and we were given our marching orders at their Baptism. Hint: it has nothing to do with their grades. Tune in today to hear what is our job as parents and try not to worry.
