The President of the European Commission told the European Parliament on Thursday that Europe is now the world’s “beating heart of solidarity” and that made her proud to be a European.  

Ursula von der Leyen was taking part in a debate on the COVID-19 crisis. The MEPs are calling for a stronger EU response to the coronavirus crisis.
