An accord reached, Our Three Yet Alive return to their worldline with their lives their own and ahead of them. For Steiner, 7.3 months: time to step back, resume his role as educator, take up a new role as supporter, and contemplate his future role as Champion; the ramifications of others' actions are reckoned with and an ongoing relationship changes by grace of opportunity. For Grant, 12.25 months: time, too, to step back, relocate, to lay down his sword, to contemplate passage between two lives, to investigate his own repair, to answer for his forbidden knowledge, to feel a gulf grow; healing is denied by dint of anonimity and the misery of that dint is borne. For Roxanne, 14.6: time enough to assert her will for the course of her oldest relationship, to mentor those who move to feel the gaps left by those who've stepped back, to chase healing for others, to strike out once more on her own; the weight of the world moving around and ahead of her is crushing and she chooses to take her final steps in detachment.
