Market Close 22 Oct. 2019: Miners help push the ASX higher

The Aussie market has enjoyed a second day of gains this week with the ASX 200 lifting 19.7 points or 0.3% to 6672.2. Markets globally are cautiously optimistic that phase 1 of a US-China trade deal can be reached along with a smoother Brexit transition. Gains were rather wide spread but mining and energy names were among the major contributors to advances.
