III) The Command is not contingent on the Attitudes or Actions of Others (vv. 21-30)

IV) The Command is not a Substitute for Our Allegiance to Jesus Himself (vv. 36-38)

 

We are called to live the Gospel through our love for each other which displays to the world both our identity with Christ and the unity of the Church.
