As part of our series highlighting mental health topics courtesy of Great Dane and the Kewanee Area United Way, on Wednesday, June 16th, we talked with Joaquin Barraza and Mary Kopp about the effects of domestic abuse on children and their mental health. Joaquin and Mary are counselors at Freedom House who specialize in treating young children and teens who've been subjected to abuse themselves or lived with domestic abuse in their home.
