BIO: Nancy Marshall, The PR Maven®, Founder & CEO of Marshall Communications:
As an extrovert from birth, Nancy has always enjoyed connecting with people and learning their stories. In 1991 she founded her own PR agency and has used her worldwide network of friends and contacts to grow her business. 

Today, 35 years later, with her strong entrepreneurial spirit, Marshall Communications has represented many major clients, including the Maine Office of Tourism, the Maine Office of Business Development, and The Orvis Company, among others. With an undergraduate degree from Colby College and an MBA from Thomas College, she loves representing the spirit of the people of Maine: rugged and outdoorsy! 

Nancy’s hallmark is her commitment to living her clients’ businesses. When she was representing Northern Outdoors Adventure Resort, she became a licensed whitewater rafting guide. For the Maine Windjammer Association, she lived the life of a crewmember on the Victory Chimes. For Orvis, she learned how to fly fish and tie flies.  She is also known for her infectious laugh and insatiable love for learning about everyone she meets. Making connections between people for their mutual benefit is a favorite pastime, as is connecting with new and long-lost friends on social media.

In 2018 she launched The PR Maven® Podcast and she is also the author of two books, PR WORKS! and GROW YOUR AUDIENCE, GROW YOUR BRAND. She emphasizes balancing in-person networking with the power of technology to extend your network using the worldwide web. Most of all, Nancy stands out because of her smile and her hearty laugh, which exemplify her passion for what she does and for life itself
