Usman was able to provide a unique perspective on the current AI industry and just how corporations are using it to their advantage. We also talked about AI & ESG, industrial automation, and the future use cases of technology in the area of sports.

 

Usman's Bio:

As Vice President/General Manager of Connected Buildings, Usman Shuja leads Honeywell's largest and fastest-growing software business. Usman has a chief executive and global P&L responsibility for all functions including product and sales. As the founding executive and CCO at SparkCognition – a Cognitive Analytics startup that is applying artificial intelligence to solve cyber-physical security challenges - he was responsible for developing new markets for Cognitive and AI technologies. Usman has worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and in product development, sales, and BD roles at IBM and Dell.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a leadership certificate from Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He also is a retired professional cricket player who represented Team USA.
