Market Close 2 May 16: Market regains some earlier losses to close down 0.2%

Heavy falls in the financial sector held the market back on Monday. The ASX 200 finished down 0.2%, helped by a 2.8% gain in the Telco sector and a 1.4% rise in the Materials sector.
