Treasure or Treason: What is Jesus Worth? | Matthew 26:1-16

Matthew begins the passion account with a surprising twist. The religious conspiracy is not surprising; they have been scheming how to get rid of Jesus for a while now. The surprise is what happens next. In light of Christ’s impending sacrifice, Matthew presents two responses to Christ - one of pure devotion and love, and the other of deception and hate.

Big Idea: In light of Christ’s infinite worth, nothing we give up for Him is too costly.

1. Know: Jesus Sovereignly and Freely Sacrificed Himself for You (1-5)
2. Treasure: Do You Delight in Christ Because He is Your Only Hope? (6-13)
3. Treason: Do You Despise Christ Because He Crushes of All Your Hopes?  (14-16)
