In this conversation the host is challenging all the CDC community to not only ask themselves do they see their glass half empty or half full. Why is that important you say? If you are the type of person who always sees their glass half empty it means you are a pessimistic person versus the opposite of being optimistic. Optimists focus on the good whereas pessimists tend to focus on the bad. If you are a pessimistic person simple put, you are a negative thinker. In which case this conversation is targeted at you. In this conversation the host hopes to enlighten and convert or at least encourage negative thinkers to become positive thinkers.
