CommSec Market Analyst Steven Daghlian reviews the worst month in a year for the Australian sharemarket. Due to a 28% slide in iron ore prices, mining stocks steered the ASX 200 to a 2.7% tumble and snapped its longest monthly winning streak in 78 years. Investors also had to contend with an energy crisis in China, concerns of rising US interest rates and debt troubles for China’s second largest property developer.
