US Close 16 Jan 17: US markets mixed on Friday. Banks rose in response to earnings.

US sharemarkets ended mixed on Friday. Shares in banks rose in response to earnings results. Shares in Wells Fargo rose by 1.4% with JP Morgan up 0.5% and Bank of America up 0.4%
