US Close 9 Jan 17: American shares lift as jobs and wages rise

The US sharemarket rose for the fourth straight day on Friday, with the S&P500 and Nasdaq hitting all-time highs. Jobs rose less than expected in December according to a report while wages are continuing to grow at the fastest pace since 2009.
