Darkness and light is a metaphor we can all relate to because there are so many times we feel like we are in darkness:  Facing an area we repeatedly live below what we know to be best, decisions we face, difficult relationships we wish would be better.  Advent shows us how Jesus wants to be light in some really profound and practical ways in all of our lives.
