“The Lord Our Righteous Savior” (Jeremiah 23:5–6; 33:14–16)

5 "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.  6 In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteous Savior. (Jer. 23:5-6, NIV)

14 "'The days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah.  15 "'In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David's line; he will do what is just and right in the land.  16 In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name by which it will be called: The LORD Our Righteous Savior.' (Jer. 33:14-16, NIV)

1.    He is a Branch from the line of David.

2.    He will be called the LORD = the covenant name of God.

3.    He will be called the Righteous One.

4.    He will be called the Savior.

21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." (Matt. 1:21, NIV)

Main Idea: Jesus, the child born in Bethlehem, is the long awaited Son of David, our Righteous Savior, and God in the flesh…. Let us Worship and Adore Him!
