Episode 62: Battle of Montgomery

This week, Brooke digs into the "Battle of Montgomery," the cultural story of the moment that unfolded on the socials thanks to the whole thing being captured on onlooker’s phones. Over the weekend, a brawl that took place on a riverfront in Montgomery, Alabama broke out when a group of white men attacked a Black man who works for a river boat company and was just doing his job and trying to dock the boat. Chaos ensued and Brooke gives a play by play of what happened and the fall out in its wake. It highlights race issues in America as well as how pop culture becomes part of pushing the narrative forward.
