Your Emotional Bank Account – Are you in the Black or Red?

The Emotional Bank Account is a metaphor for the amount of trust in a relationship. Like a financial bank account, it’s something we make deposits into and with-drawls from. Actions such as seeking first to understand, being kind, making and keeping promises and being loyal to the absent increases the balance of trust. Being unkind, breaking promises and gossiping about someone who is absent decreases or even bankrupts the trust in a relationship. So, this week Pennie and Matthew will be joined by a colleague Adam who will be discussing why it’s so important to have a healthy and abundant emotional bank account.
