Erneuerbare Energien tragen immer mehr zur Wärmeversorgung in Deutschland bei. Im Jahr 2019 lag ihr Anteil im Wärmesektor bei 14,5 Prozent. Besonders hoch ist ihr Anteil bei der Wärmeversorgung neuer Wohngebäude, er betrug 2019 schon 48 Prozent.
