Mid-Session 22 Oct 19: ASX 200 edges higher helped by improved trade sentiment

Local shares followed Wall St higher in earlier trade on Tuesday helped by a White House economic adviser saying that tariffs on China, which are scheduled for December, could be withdrawn if trade talks continue to go well. Energy names were the most improved in early trade, while Telecoms have led the declines.
