Expect God‘s Yes

We’ve all prayed prayer that don’t seem to be answered. And it’s been super frustrating and sometimes even heartbreaking. Prayers that we thought were good. Prayers that were heartfelt. Prayers that mattered! As I was talking this through with Holy Spirit I re-read 1 John 5:14-15, and I began to understand why those prayers went seemingly unanswered. Prayers that we thought were good. Prayers that were heartfelt. Prayers that mattered!

As I was talking this through with Holy Spirit I re-read 1 John 5:14-15, and I began to understand why those prayers went seemingly unanswered.

When we remember

God’s good and kind intent toward us.
Jesus’ tremendous gift of salvation for each one of us
And the purpose that we’re all here on Earth to accomplish

…and then we read that verse… we begin to see that we often pray according to our own definition of what we think we need, instead of God’s (way wiser, bigger and gooder) definition.
