After the No Part 5: Stop Faking It, Get Real

Have you ever been turned down for a job you were praying for—maybe even sure that it was “the one”? That kind of “no” hits hard. In this series, we’re getting honest about rejection, disappointment, and the spiritual wrestling that comes with it.

But in today’s episode, we’re digging deeper into something many of us overlook: self-deception. Somewhere along the way, we’ve picked up the idea that we should “fake it till we make it,” even in job interviews. It sounds clever. Maybe even spiritual. But it’s not Biblical.

We’re not called to fake anything.
We walk by faith, not fantasy.
We walk in the light, not in shadows or half-truths.

This episode is a call back to authentic trust in God, even when the answer is no, and the future feels unclear.
