Market Close 7 Oct. 2019: Shares lift on light volumes

The Aussie market has started on a quiet note with public holidays across several states around the country. The ASX 200 index was able to lift by 46 points or 0.7% to 6563 with broad based gains. Every sector was higher with IT, communications and healthcare leading the gains.
