McGuinness “determined” principle of no hard border honoured

The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness says there’s determination to ensure the principle of no hard border remains intact following the British exit from the EU.

The Midlands North-West was speaking in the European Parliament in Strasbourg where MEPs this week debated the Brexit talks following last week’s EU Summit.

The British Prime Minister Theresa May caused consternation recently when she suggested there should be a time-limit on the backstop agreement for Northern Ireland.
