Ameren Illinois will send 150 staff members to Louisiana as part of their mutual aid agreement with other states. Hurricane Ida devastated southern Louisiana and has left a large number of residents without power. Ameren is sending lineman and other field personnel to aid in repairing the electric grid which was damaged all around the Southern United States in the wake of Hurricane Ida. Tucker Kennedy is a spokesman for Ameren Illinois and is among the 150 Ameren personnel headed to Louisiana today, September 1st, 2021.
