Market Close 3 Aug 17: Market closes off the day’s lows; ASX 200 -0.2%

The local share market has regained some earlier losses, managing to close down just 9 points or 0.2% to 5,735. Gains from the Consumer Discretionary, Utilities and Industrials sectors helped to limit the losses.
