In 1992, Beverley became a victim of violent rape, surviving a severe traumatic brain injury that led to 30 years of extended states of altered consciousness. Her heartbeat would stop, and her consciousness would separate from her body, resulting in a state of being flatlined called ‘Actual Death Experiences’ [ADEs]. She could have ended her life, but she chose her love and commitment to her three young children as well as her desire to understand ADE’s to keep her strong and continuing. She earned a BA Honors Degree in Screenwriting for Film and Television and a Masters in Publishing.
