A conversation with Karl Ridderlind, the new General Manager of Amphenol ConneXus in Stockholm, Sweden. Karl has been with Amphenol for over two years but assumed the GM position in January. We talk about the Amphenol ConneXus business building cable assemblies and wire harnesses for multiple markets. We talk about his challenges as a new GM and using his passion and enthusiasm to help set up a successful tenure. We talk about starting his career in the interconnect industry and how his early interactions with future Amphenolians, like Jean-Luc Gavelle, made the switch to Amphenol seem inevitable. We talk about growing up in Sweden and his love of ice hockey, where he played up to 30 hours a week in his teenage years. And we discuss his desert island album, book, and movie.
