Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, MA, today’s show begins with the driving raga of “As We Walk Upon This Earth”, a swirling, mystical prayer to the earth propelled by Mariam’s dulcimer and the powerful rhythm section of Craig and Robin. “Oh, The Moon Is Singing” is a beautifully naïve, innocent song for the night sky featuring lilting, affecting ukulele from Mariam above Bob’s lovely, baroque framework and “Oh To The Greatness” is a sweet, stately gospel ballad with gorgeous vocals and deeply reverent flute from Mariam. Mariam strums her chiming acoustic guitar for the lovely, languid minor ballad “I Sing For Freedom”, a mystical piece decorated with midnight piano from Bob and fine percussion from Craig and Robin. “To The River I Go” is a panoramic musical journey featuring a compelling lyric from Mariam and fine backing vocals from Robin and “Surrender” closes today’s show with flourishes from Mariam’s 8 string ukulele and a lovely, innocent musical setting that evokes hope and positive progression.
