Children of Single Parents are Heroes - NOT Zeros! Single Parent Advocate Podcast - May 21 2021

1 in 4 US children are being raised in single parent homes.  Many of these children develop incredible maturity and show talent and dedication beyond their years despite "stigmas" that they should otherwise be "problem children" due to their circumstances.  

 

Today we discuss the WONDERFUL traits that children raised in single parent homes actually acquire by learning early in life to be a contributor, to be forgiving, patient, independent; and, among other things...to FINISH STRONG!  They are our heroes....not "zeros"!

Over 1 in 4 children in America today reside in a single parent household. That accounts for a large population of single parents that are working hard to navigate the journey of parenting alone. Many of those struggle at work and home. The majority hang in the gap between poverty and self sufficiency.

 

Single Parent families are all very different, and most of these parents face internal and external forces that cause them to struggle as they raise their children alone. Being a parent is often hard and being a single parent can be even harder without support.
